Each year in October or November, depending upon the county, people celebrate Thanksgiving. It was originally celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. It has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well.
What if we were to give thanks and gratitude, in some form, each day? Meister Eckhart (1260-1328) wrote, "If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough." And giving thanks and gratitude not only to the Divine, but to each other as well. And remember to say thank you to the people closest to us, our family and friends.
