I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am." ~ Albert Einstein, 1929. (source)
The origin of the word "inspiration" means "to breathe air into the lungs" (the word "respiration" means: inhalation and exhalation of air; breathing). And air metaphysically refers to Spirit, the Divine. To be Divinely inspired means that inspiration is coming into you from the Divine. The Holy Books were Divinely inspired. But the Divine did not stop there. Every day we are inspired. In modern times we call it "women's intuition", "gut feeling", or a "hunch". Be aware and you will notice inspiration. No co-incidence that the word inspiration is associated with inhalation of breath. Sometimes when I have a "lightbulb" moment and am inspired, I notice that I suddenly draw in a deep breath. So as you go through your day, be aware of your breath, be aware of the inspirations.
